We’ve barely closed the books on our amazing John Waller concert, and we’ve already opened up ticket sales for the next one! Are you ready for something fantastic? Here you are.

It’s NEWSBOYS!

Newsboys are coming to the Indianola Community Church for a stop on their “God’s Not Dead” 2012 tour. And they’re bringing along a solid block of awesomeness! The City Harmonic, Abandon, and Anthem Lights will be there. Join us Thursday, March 29th for an absolutely amazing evening of positive rock music that will not disappoint in the slightest.

Hey, everyone! We’ve announced our next Overflow concert via email and Facebook already, and it’s one we’re really excited to see come to Iowa.

It’s John Waller!

John Waller is the singer/songwriter responsible for the hit song “While I’m Waiting” from the movie Fireproof. He’s a fantastic musician, and it’s just going to be him and his guitar for a close, intimate evening of song, praise, and amazing worship. The concert will be Saturday, November 12th at 7pm at the Indianola Community Church. John will be preceded by wonderful local musician Andy Klindt and his wife Kelly.

Tickets are $10 when purchased from one of the following Indianola churches: First United Methodist, Indianola Community, Redeemer Lutheran, and Trinity Presbyterian. You can also order tickets on our Overflow site, over in the usual right-hand side (Tickets through the website include a $1 service charge. Online tickets are will call). Tickets can also be purchased at the door the evening of the concert for $15 each.

With this concert, we’re teaming up with a new organization out of the Indianola area called Faithworkz. They’re an awesome group of people formed out of an alliance of local churches. We’re helping them get started with their first couple of concerts so that they can start serving their community in much the same way we serve ours.

That Disciple concert we posted before is already OLD NEWS. Now we have something even BETTER.

Okay, so it’s the same concert, really. But instead of just Disciple, we’re also bringing you —

MANAFEST!

That’s right! We’ve now added Manafest to our lineup at the June 26th concert! Disciple and Manafest, together in one awesome evening! Not only that, but show up at the Earlham Church of Christ (where we’re having the concert) at around 4:00pm and we’re going to have a massive party on the lawn!

MUSIC! A band will be playing right in our front yard!
FOOD! We’re going to grill hamburgers and hot dogs, so bring your appetites! (and a few dollars)
GAMES! We’re going to have various fun party games and activities set up all over the place!

So hang out with us all afternoon, and then come inside at 6:30pm for main event! This is going to be one of our BIGGEST events ever! So join us on June 26th for an amazing day of MUSIC and FUN!

Next Overflow concert: DISCIPLE!

We’ve been laying low over at Overflow HQ for the past few months, plotting and scheming, and now we’re finally ready to unveil our next concert: DISCIPLE!

That’s right, Disciple is coming BACK to the Earlham Church of Christ courtesy of Overflow Music, and we couldn’t be any more excited!

The concert is exactly TWO MONTHS from today on June 26th. You can order tickets now using the PayPal “Buy Now” link in the sidebar. We’ll have more information regarding promotional deals, giveaways, and opportunities to win backstage passes in the coming weeks. Don’t forget that people on our mailing list always get first crack at those deals, so be sure to sign up in using the link in the sidebar (if you’re not already on our list, that is).

In the meantime, spread the word and order tickets now! We only have so much capacity at our venue, and tickets like these will go quickly.

What does the future of Overflow hold?

So, our first concert in a very long time has come and gone, and it was a complete success. Not just because we were able to hold an AMAZING concert with Superchick without breaking the bank, but also because a lot of people came and supported our efforts. And for that, we have nothing but thanks and love to share with all Christian-music lovers in rural central Iowa.

But … what now? What’s next for Overflow? In the past we’ve brought in bands like Skillet, Sanctus Real, and Seventh Day Slumber. What do we have on the horizon?

Honestly, we have no idea. We have lots of things up in the air right now. There are emails and questions and negotiations and schedules being tossed around amongst the team with a number of different possibilities and opportunities. Nothing settled. Nothing concrete. Just ideas and potential. And for now, we’re okay with that.

We’re going to take things slow and make sure that whatever we end up doing, it has to meet several criteria. 1) It has to be something that YOU want. 2) It has to be pleasing to GOD. And 3) it can’t bankrupt us (that’s kind of important, unfortunately).

So, for now, we’re going to keep talking, thinking, emailing, and planning, and when we’re ready to show you what’s up our sleeves and on our minds, we’ll make sure it’s something that will blow your socks off and make you beg for tickets.

For now, just enjoy the Christmas season. God loves you, we love you, and we all love positive music. We’ll be in touch sometime in early 2011.

One Week until SUPERCHICK!

We’re gearing up now, making those last-minute final preparations for the concert coming up on October 10th! Are you excited? Cause we’re pretty excited.

We’ve been keeping people up to date via our email list and our Facebook page, but we haven’t been doing a very good job of updating the website, have we? Here’s a rundown of things you need to know leading up to the concert next week.

Pre-concert Fun!

We’re planning to have (weather permitting) a bunch of inflatable buildings, and outdoor band, and food available starting at 4pm the day of the concert! Come join us for some pre-concert fun for a couple of hours before we open the doors to the building for Superchick!

Backstage Passes!

We’ve got a contest going on our Facebook page for some backstage passes! There’s only a couple of days left to enter, but we still have some more passes to give away, so we’ll probably put another contest up before the concert.

Ticket Deal with Life 107!

If you haven’t bought tickets yet (and you really should! They’re going fast!) you can get a great deal the night of the concert. In a partnership with Life 107.1, we’re offering an awesome deal for people who also attend the Matthew West concert at Lutheran Church of Hope on Friday, October 8th. Bring your ticket stub from that concert to our Superchick concert, and get the advance ticket price at the door! That’s a $20 ticket for only $15! Pretty good deal! Only one ticket stub will be accepted for each Superchick ticket purchased.

We’ve finalized preparations for our upcoming concert, and we’re ready to announce it. We’re bringing back one of our absolute favorites — SUPERCHICK!

We’ve had Superchick as Overflow headline acts three times before, and they are always a huge hit. Amazing music and great crowds. Superchick just brings all of the best to each performance!

Superchick will grace us with their fourth appearance on a momentous date: 10/10/10. That’s right: October 10th, 2010. Isn’t that great? Too bad we can’t start the concert at 10:00pm.

As is usually the case, the concert will take place at our favorite venue of choice, the Earlham Church of Christ.
